Things you'll need to prepare for a Taylor Swift concert

This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to all non-essential social gatherings, with concerts being one of the first to go. Taylor Swift had Lover Fest 2020 put on hold, with a hopeful rescheduling for 2021. We can't know for sure when the virus will be under control, but we have to be ready and prepared for a concert whenever it may happen. Here is a list of things to do to make sure you're ready for postponed Lover Fest or even (fingers crossed?) a folklore tour.
1. Hydrate

Remember to drink water and fuel your body for a few days in advance. Also remember, soda does NOT COUNT as water. You will likely be using a lot of energy at the concert, so you want to be prepared. Bring food and water with you if you can. If you pass out, there's just that much less of the show you'll get to see :)
2. Research the Venue

This is very important. You'll want to know the rules of the venue, (they might look something like this) as well as the parking situation. If it's somewhere you've never been, find out how close you will be able to park you car so you are prepared for how early you might have to show up. If you can, look up the rules on food and drink, as well as carrying bags with you. Determine a meeting place if you get split up from your friends.
3. Pack a Bag

If your venue will allow you to bring a bag into the concert (find the clear one above here), pack one. Err on the side of being over prepared, so you aren't caught wishing you had brought something but not having it in your bag. Remember your phone, keys, wallet, some extra cash, your tickets, hand sanitizer, a small first aid kit, and a light snack.
4. Dress Appropriately

You may be waiting in line, standing around before the show, or jumping and dancing during the show. You definitely want to look cute, but it is more important to be comfortable. Find an outfit (shoes especially) that let you move and stand for long periods of time. Most importantly, don't forget to wear a mask!
5. Charge Your Phone

This is another thing you'll want to look up about your specific concert and venue. If pictures/video recording isn't allowed or is restricted, you'll want to be aware of these rules before you get in trouble. If you can use your phone, make sure it's at 100% or bring a portable charger so you don't miss a chance to capture any memories.
6. Wear Deodorant

This is just common courtesy. Anyone who has ever been in a large crowd of sweaty people knows that body odor is a real issue. It will probably still be bad, but do your part to respect your fellow Swifties.
7. Study Up

Whether she's touring a new album or featuring some old hits, you'll want to be able to sing along. Concerts are always more fun if you can jam out to the songs being sung. Listen to the album at least enough to be familiar with each song, if you aren't already.
